You know how sometimes you just get to spend time with someone who completely floats your boat and challenges you and keeps you sharp and says things which make you think billions? Well today was one of those times for me, and it was completely unplanned, completely unexpected and truly beautiful.
It's so freeing to be able to be real on that level with someone being as real back - no room for bollocks, superficial conversations. I'm not feeling very eloquent tonight so I'm finding it hard to say what I mean, but you know who you are mate, so THANK YOU - You have challenged me to my very core and made me buzz even more off this God that we know loves us and who we try to follow. Today feels definitely like a breakthrough day. Ever have those?

Good question Liz. Unfortunately I really don't think there is an easy answer. I think two of them are selfishness and false expectations. We are all very protective of our time so we can too easily choose who to spend time with and who not to and end up spending the majority of our time with people who think like us. Avoiding those who are a bit more challening. Also we expect a lot of other people and ourselves so when we then don't meet those expectations we feel let down and build up walls towards others. All this, and other reasons, then lead us to loose connections and therefore a sense of community. But then again do communities ever break down or do they just change shape and are forever on the move and we just think they are broken because they either don't look like what we hoped for or have stopped looking like what we are used too? the mystery continues......
Hey Liz, we could all do with a good mate in work it not only makes the day go a whole lot quicker but it makes it fun, exciting and makes you await the unexpected. I hope you told your mate how you feel as sometimes not everyone picks up on how great they have made someone feel. So brighten your day and their day and tell them how you feel xxx
